Thumbs down Goodell = Double standard?

So let me get this straight – The 49ers lose a 5th round pick and have to swap 3rd rounders with the Bears for “talking” to Lance Briggs but yet the Patriots can CHEAT for 10 years, cover it up and only lose a 1st rounder which is really like a 2nd rounder?

Anyone else see this as crap?

Jealousy is a good thing – it keeps people on their toes

Seriously though if you think the Pats penalty was fair, you don’t think this was a little harsh for the Niners? I mean this is not Eddie Debartalo (spell) running the team anymore?

Pats didn't break the rules?

So they lost a 1st rounder and didn't fight it because they were feeling generous?

lmao

Rufio (formerly known as uva) how many people get a $750,000 fine and forfeit of a draft pick for NOT breaking the rules?

lol you dont thnk tagliabue still has a hand in this? Remember goddell came directly from under taglibue and he pretty handpicked him for the job. I would be surprised if he wasnt going to him for consultation. The good ol boys werent gonna let one of the storied franschise of the decade go down and put a major black eye on the sport. They can make things disappear just like the nba can sweep the doneghy story under the rug.
