Green Bay Fans

Can you explain to me why they took Brohm in the draft? Please do not use the "back up" excuse. That will not fly. Obviously this pick did nothing at all to build Rogers confidence. Does McCarthy have any faith or trust in him? Is he injury prone? There has to be a reason behind this pick, and the "back up" reason is not going to hold water.

Brohm is unproven, so to make a statement like that is a bit naive, or homerish. Obviously you are a Louisville fan. Care to explain the disaster that was Louisville last year? Brohm had to have a lot to do with it. I know the master plan of him staying at Louisville and then getting drafted by his ex coach Petrino at Atlanta blew up in his face, but to go from the easy #1 QB in the draft down to a 2nd rounder is quite a drop.

because the defense was garbage and he had to play catch up almost every game. There was no running game. Still had better numbers than Matt Ryan.

btw, Brohm's old center in college, Spitz, starts at Green Bay.

To make Rogers play better in camp ,preseason.

They don't want to "automatically" give him the job with zero
starting experience ,

Make him compete for it against someone else and bring out the best
in him during training camp ...

Its simple:

Pure uncertainty about the future at that position. This was a rhetorical question.

Here is an analogy:

You lose a serious girlfriend in a massive breakup and for a while after you always keep a couple around because of the uncertainty. Understood?

LMFAO.

I think Rodgers is a bust. Reminds me of another Cali product in Boller.

it's real simple... Aaron Rodgers has already been on the IR two more times than Brett Favre... Brohm is a good insurance policy because he runs an efficient west coast offense, plus may be able to start if Rodgers falters

you also need to look at who else was available at the time and who else is out there to backup Rodgers... prior to the draft, Green Bay's best option was Culpepper as a backup... also, if Brohm came out last year he would have been a top-10 pick... he was the best player available at that time in the second round (except of course for whoever the Charges drafted because all of their picks are A+'s (*)(*) )

Let's see......you have Louisville as "champs" although they don't win anything with "ship" on the end. And then you say one of the reasons GBay drafted Brohm is because his ol' buddy of a center is playing there. Who's stupid??

Get back in the sack with RJB!
