Gridiron Grudge - WK15

So what happened to Romo laying an egg in December and the Cowboys crashing? He's played solid the last 3 weeks, and last night the defense turned in a solid performance and took down the undefeated Saints. I know I'm not the only one who now looks at the sheet today and wonders who else may get toppled that otherwise shouldn't. Here's who I like today and why:

Green Bay +2 @ Pittsburgh
The Steelers are playing like they called it a season back in November. Not a good sign for the Steeler faithful. The Pack, however, have been hanging on to playoff hopes and with a current 5 game winning streak, can still make a charge for their division. With nothing clinched yet at all for them (despite being the #5 seed in the NFC), Green Bay still has everything to play for. This would be a good spot for Pittsburgh to play spoiler, but recent performances suggest we may not see another win this year.
GB 27 PIT 20

Miami +5 @ Tennessee
Again, a team desperate to get into the playoffs is always a dangerous one to play in the last 3 weeks. Sticking with the theme of "who needs it more", Miami comes into this as a 5pt road dog. I love those points. Despite going up against the best RB in football right now and a much improved Titans squad overall (4-1 in their last 5), Miami has the tools to not only hang around by 5 or less, but to steal this game. If Sparano can gameplan this right, we may see overtime or a late FG to take it.
MIA 29 TEN 27

Atlanta @ NY Jets -7
The Jets crashed hard last year and squandered any chances of making the playoffs, much like my Broncos did. But knowing they have a confident Kellen Clemens to come off the bench if Sanchez slips up, and a very good run game, look for Rex Ryan to try to put the hammer down early on a struggling Atlanta squad that has dropped their last 2.
ATL 13 NYJ 31

Minnesota -9 @ Carolina
Typically I don't like taking a road favourite by so many points (Philly in Oakland...we all remember that shit) but after the Saints fell on Saturday, all eyes turn to Brad Childress and his Vikings, who still mathematically have a chance to catch New Orleans for #1 in the conference. With a playoff spot clinched and still enough to play for, look for Minny to push the run and take their shots deep whenever they can. Harvin and Rice will give the Panthers' secondary all it can handle. Within the RZ, it'll be tough for them to stop all the Minny weapons and Shiancoe will probably get another short-yard TD. I really really like the Vikes here, especially after Saturday night's surprise.
MIN 37 CAR 24

Underdogs with ML potential I like this week: Buffalo +7, Chicago +11, Washington +3, Oakland +14 (we all remember last year)

BOL to everyone today! Hope we hit some cashy cashy before the holidays! I'm sure some of us could use it! I'll be cheering for Denver to NOT shit the bed this year lol

Ugh the worst part about Denver losing is that I pretty much called it lol this team needs some consistency.
