Griz NFLX Week 1

All plays are for 2 units.

San Francisco -3.5

Key injuries at offensive line, a new line coach, and the release of Lilja will wreak havoc on the Colts offense. This line with Painter or any of the two other young quarterbacks will have issues all day trying to stop the San Francisco rush and avoiding penalties.

The 49ers will run exploiting the Colts suspect interior defensive line and key injuries to RLB Session and his backup who are both out for this game. Possible locker room issues scare me a little in this game but can't see Indianapolis doing much of anything with all the injuries and players being rested.

Thanks Lord.

1-0 +2.00 units

Cincinnati -3.5

The Broncos come in battered and bruised. Their offensive line is in shambles with Clady still out and Kruger nursing a sore ankle. They will go into tonight with only one offensive lineman who started a game for them last year. Continuity is key along the line and they have zero right now with this unit. That in itself is enough to derail any running game let alone one that is missing both of its top two starters in Moreno and Buckhalter.

These factors combined with playing on the road against one of the best up and coming young defenses in the league spell disaster for the Broncos offensively.

The news doesn't get any better on the other side of the ball. Defensively, the Broncos are facing a team that was 9th in the league last year running the ball without the services of two of their starting linebackers and their emotional leader at safety, Brian Dawkins.

Coming off a pathetic offensive showing in their home state at the Hall of Fame Game, the Bengals have had the criticism come down on their offense and responded with a great week in practice according to Palmer.

This team is at home and motivated to redeem themselves in front of the hometown faithful and I can't see the Broncos stopping them from doing just that.

Good start but the rollercoaster has just begun. Back at it tomorrow for the battle of New York.

Thanks Joe. Hope to continue the mini-streak but been doing this to long to have any delusions of grandeur. There will without a doubt be the bad days. The key is to minimize the bad streaks and maximize the good ones. Hopefully I can do that and contribute something useful to the forum.
