Grizzly's NFLX Week 2 Thursday

YTD: 3-1 / +3.90 units (All preseason plays are 2 units or 2% of bankroll)

Indianapolis +3.5 +100 (5dimes)

The Bills and Colts face off tonight in Toronto for another installment of Buffalo's Canadian arrangement. Buffalo has lost in both their prior trips north of the border which is not surprising for a team and an organization that, putting it mildly, has been a train wreck.

Chan Gailey, who has a horrible preseaon record in his NFL career, has taken over this talent deficient group and is attempting to install both a whole new offense and a new 34 defense. So far the results have been pathetic.

Last week against the Redskins, who are also revamping their philosophy on both sides of the ball, the Bills got scorched 42-17. The Bills new defense stood idly by watching the 'Skins put up 42 points and converting 12 of 19 third down. The Buffalo offense was just as inept under current starter Trent Edwards who went 6 for 12 with an interception. Going back to 2009 the Bills first string offense has produced just two field goals in 19 series over six preseason games with Edwards at the helm.

Edwards will again start tonight and be relieved by Brian Brohm, who will see the majority of the snaps, with Ryan Fitzpatrick scheduled to sit this one out. Brohm is on the last legs of his NFL career mainly because of severe accuracy issues which have plagued him both in Buffalo and in Green Bay.

Making matters worse, the Bills will be without the services of their best defensive player (Byrd) and have major problems with depth in both their running back and receiving corps with injuries to Jackson, Lynch, Hardy, and Nelson.

The Colts starters, although decimated by injuries along their offensive line, will see more action tonight according to Head Coach Jim Caldwell. They feature an offense that is much more explosive than the Redskins and will feature a 43 defense that the Bills have not practiced or played against during all of training camp. The Colt defense will also see the return of stars Bob Sanders and Dwight Freeney who will both be seeing their first action of the preseason.

To put it bluntly, your going to give me three and a half points against a team that is lucky to score ten and I get Peyton Manning, who put up ten in two series against a much better 49er defense, along with a nearly fully intact Colts defense?

Thank you very much. I'll take it everytime.

Thanks CC. Brutal start with back to back penalties and a three and out for the Colts.
