Has anyone ever heard this before?
Discussions at work brought out a theory that the NFL wants to keep the game close and interesting so that viewers don't turn of their sets because they get more revenue from the commericals if the viewers are watching. I say they'll get the revenue regardless of how many watch. Any thoughts?

thats wrong because these adds are allready paid for.
It wouldnt matter, im sure the first half commercials are more expensive, because if its a good game you could just as easily say no one will pay attention to the commercials at the end of the game. If it mattered; the company buying the commercial air time is the one "gambling" on weather the game was close. but then again refs in steelers vs. seahawks
