To hedge or not to hedge?

Been a long time follower.......... Very much appreciated for everything guys!

I have a Pro Picks ticket with 13 out of the 14 games correct and have NE for tonight.

I would like to know if i hedge with MIA tonight and if so, how much??

Well I am not clear on what this bet is, but like dirty said... hedge something. I have lost a lot letting it ride so that is one of the big lessons I have learned over the years.

This week we had 6 so called upsets....Balt, STL, Clev, Wash, Denv and Jack

Last year 14 out of 14 with 4 upsets paid $220,000.00 CDN

i would say hedge if you had bet lower, but your investment is high in the first place. its hard because how do u determine if 13/14 is a winner. all it takes is one lucky guy to hit 14/14 and it wont matter, you could lose both.


i would have said hedge for sure if you know you are going to win. but you are not sure you are going to win and you dont know how many times you will split being 13/14.

there are 3 other guys on this forum alone that are going for 13/14 and usually there isnt one guy on here that is going for a perfect ticket and those tickets get split up still. so you are probably looking at a big split of the pot with 13/14.

i would just say stick with it.

or better yet. does your online book have in-game wagering???????? let the game play out and see how NE is doing. if they are up big. then no problem, but if they are down and you feel they will lose, you can make a play at halftime usually. the odds wont be as good if miami is up big. but a close game, you will still find good hedging oppurtunities

st louis cleveland baltimore are not big upsets. neither is jacksonville at home, they have played indy close at home for the last couple years.

there is a good chance that someone has a ticket with all those teams on there.

if you win 14/14, you will at least make over $10,000 IMO. and that is on the very very low side.
