Heinz Field Condition

I remember that in the past years there were a few weekends when Heinz Field had a high school game on Friday night, followed by a Pitt game on Saturday, and then the Steelers on Sunday. This looks to be one of those weekends. Pitt played today, and the Steelers play tomorrow. In the past the field was in such bad shape that the Sunday game usually went under. Anyone know if there was a high school game on Friday?

NO HS games, the HS Championships are not for a few more weeks, HS playoffs havent even started yet,

Thanks for the info. How were the game conditons for the Pitt-USF game today?

The field should be in good shape as we didnt get much rain at all.
Dont see it being a factor at all today for the Steelers game.

Yeh, it held up during the pitt game, it has not rained since, looks sunny out right now so wouldnt cap it. The roonies pretty much try to schedule a away game for that weekend, but not sure if that is the case this year,

Because of the damage done to the field from constructing a hockey rink for the Winter Classic, Heinz Field will be sodded for a second time, beginning Thursday. The work will be completed Saturday, weather permitting -- one week before the Steelers will play host to the 4:30 p.m. playoff game.
