home field advantage a myth?

ive been keeping my own records this season and so far it doesnt seem like home field gives a team an advantage against the spread. i have it dead even at 43-43-4 ats.
i do know some teams play better at home, and crowd noise is sometimes a factor, but the numbers dont lie........
home favorites are 20-27-4 ats. just something to think about......

think it's a factor in a game, but not betting... home field is factored in the line... so kind of a moot point IMHO

Well they are dead even ATS - and that doesnt mean there's no home field advantage, it means that the linemakers are doing a good job factoring it into the line. I'm sure its not even straight up.

Of course in pro sports, the homefield advantage isnt as big as in college sports

thats the point i was trying to make, straight up it is definatly an advantage, but ats, it doesnt make a diffrence. i dont bet money lines.
it seems like every week though i see people post things like, " ill take XXXX at home". or, "i gotta go with the home team here".
i understand that some teams perform better than normal at home, home dogs are 23-15 ats.
i just think sometimes people overvalue the home field advantage as a whole.
