How the Bears put NE in the Super Bowl

In one of former GM, Angelo's worst moves, the Bears traded their 2010, secind round draft pick to Tampa Bay, for some defensive lineman who died before he tried on a Jersey. Typical of Angelo.

So, NE was looking for a TE and they discussed a trade with the Bears, NE's second round pick for Greg Olsen. Angelo thought it was a done deal and he was sitting by the phone on draft day, waiting for the ring. Meanwhile, NE trades the pick the Bears thought they were getting for Olsen, to Tampa Bay, moving up 2 spots for the pick the Bears had but traded for the dead guy.

.this is a killer, as Angelo finally got a 3rd round pick for Olsen

Really?

Coming from someone from St Louis, who is surrounded by dummies every day, I can see why you would be confused and don't see the humor in it.

Yeah I couldn't figure out what this had to do with Brady or Belichick.

But the Pats were smart enough to draft him, someone else could have picked up Gronkowski but teams were passing him by because of a troublesome back. Pats choose him over Hernandez who was considered the best pass catching TE in the draft and then still got Hernandez in the 4th round. No wonder this team keeps winning.

Gronkowski would of not had as good of a year with cutler (or hanie) throwing to him. Dumb theory.

If you would have said the bears helped the lions get into the playoffs by choking, then I would have agreed.

Yeah those 7-9 Lions needed all the help they could get

I still shake my head when I look at the AFC West standings.

You make it seem as if it was NE's fault by somehow going back on their word. Nevermind the fact that your theory isn't relative at all.

Besides, wasn't it Chicago that totally screwed up a draft day trade 2 or 3 years back with Baltimore?

don't get your panties in a bunch there. i'm not taking anything away from the lions. they had a great year. but you have to admit that the bears were in position to get into the playoffs before their losing streak.
