Question How many QB's would you rather have than Favre?

2 for me...Brady and Peyton

Big Ben would be holding the clipboard on my team

Favre is, in my humble opinion, and at this stage of his career, an average QB at best. I would rather have Manning, Brady, Romo, Palmer, Big Ben and Brees for sure over him. I probably would also want Cutler, McNabb and a few others over him as well.

Not sure why Big Ben gets no love. This is not Bill Cowher's Steelers anymore. They opened things up last year, and will continue to do so this year. They are NOT a run-first team anymore.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

100% agree. I would take Favre at 38 (this stage of his career) over any other QB for this year only. Now if I am a GM and planning for the future, I may think differently

I once thought you were wise. Last year he ha nothing to prove and he played without pressure. If he comes back this year say hello to the int machine gunslinger trying too hard Brett Favre. He'll have way too much to prove to lead a team anywhere great.

No cry babies on my football team so that leaves farve sitting on the bench.

Since no cry babies allowed, you probably would have less than a dozen players on your team. This is why you are a coach and not a GM lol

2000 - Jay Fiedler, Damon Huard
2001 - Jay Fiedler, Ray Lucas
2002 - Jay Fiedler, Ray Lucas, Sage Rosenfels
2003 - Jay Fiedler, Sage Rosenfels, Brian Griese
2004 - Jay Fiedler, A.J. Feeley, Sage Rosenfels
2005 - Gus Frerotte, Sage Rosenfels
2006 - Joey Harrington, Dante Culpepper, Cleo Lemon
2007 - Trent Green, Cleo Lemon

As you can see, since Dan Marino left, we have been overloaded with premier quarterbacks.

It makes you appreciate a guy like Favre

You know what, Fiedler got a bad rap because he was the first after Marino. If we knew what would come after Jay, we probably would have appreciated him more. The one year when Turner was the OC, Fielder was having a great first half and the Dolphins were scoring and looking good. Then he got hurt and it was over.

Who would ever thought that the team with Fiedler as our QB, Lamar Smith as our RB and Davy Wanny as our coach was our best team by far last several years

If you want to "rent" a QB for a year, Farve is your guy. If you are talking long term, any one of 15 QB's are a better risk. Even for a year, you have to wonder about Farve's mental state. Obviously the booze and drugs have gotten to him and while he may be clean now, you have to wonder exactly how much damage they did. Obviously he is not thinking clearly.
