AP Posted: 2008-04-22 07:45:56 Filed Under: NFL LAS VEGAS (April 21) - Adam "Pacman" Jones paid "extortion" money to a 29-year-old man arrested for a Las Vegas strip club shooting that left a club employee paralyzed, police said. Arvin Kenti Edwards, of Renton, Wash., allegedly used go-betweens to reach Jones, who paid $15,000 in two installments after the shooting, according to a police report obtained Monday. "He paid $15,000 to his friends, who advised him that if he didn't pay the money then this guy would come after him," said Robert Langford, Jones' lawyer in Las Vegas. Jones, 24, went to Seattle on Friday and picked Edwards from a police lineup, Langford said. He said Jones identified Edwards as the man who opened fire with a handgun a little before 5 a.m. Feb. 19, 2007, outside the strip club during the NBA's All-Star Weekend. Police have not provided details of the investigation that led to Edwards' arrest Friday on three counts of attempted murder with a weapon and three counts of battery with substantial bodily harm, all felonies. He was not sought on an extortion charge. How much more time for this bone head move. 8 Weeks? Another year. Does anyone really want this clown on their team after this latest fiaasco?

What I love is that he pays the dude the 15 k, and still fingers him. Ofcourse there is no "extortion" charge being field against this guy. You have to wonder exactly what Pacman paid this guy for.

I think we (sorry, the cowboys) have learned how to deal with these types of personalities. I'm sure there would be some sort of clause in hei contract - much like T.O. for performance on and off the field.
