I can't even watch the nfl anymore
The Refs get more air time than the players and even with a 5 minute instant replay review on just about every play... they still get it wrong half the time!

I can't help but feel the same. The refs aren't consistent at all, the same PI calls I seen in the 1/4o'clock games compared to the Night Game were totally different. Tonnes of handchecking lastnight by Ike Taylor, I seen that exact thing in the Oakland/Denver game and it was called doesn't make any sense. I hate the fact that they can review and scoring play now talk about trying to slow down the game even more than it already is. The ref makes the call on the field to what he sees if the coach feels hes wrong he can challenge it thats what their there for. Sorry for rambling but the new rules ESPECIALLY KICKOFF just get me going. Goodluck Mallers!! CASH'EM!!

They have ruined their game..In college a defensless reciever gets lit up and they get him off the field and move on..No penalty and the game goes on..They view instant replay in like 20 secomds compared to the NFL which see's it as an oppurtunity for a 4 minute commercial brealk.. Everytime there's a TD it's like, Touchdown!!! But wait, lets check the tape..If the ball moves a micro meter while he's 5 yards outta bounce tripping over a gatoraid jug..it's a No Catch...They kill every exciting play and now I have to factor in the review judges tendecies into my handicapping..Like I did'nt have enough to worry about

Why don't the refs have a full time reviewing ref in the booth. The moment he sees a red flag, the guy in the booth should text the head ref on his pager and start the review. It'd be over about a minute sooner. He could text the ref the outcome on the field. The current process is absurd.

True that... they do get it wrong half the time. Might as well go back to the old days when officials call on the field was all we had. Percentage of incorrect calls probably has not changed much anyway.

Get used to it. It is only going to get worse. The more money involved, the more reviewing you are going to see. It should have nothing to do with your handicapping. If it ddoes, it is time for you to get out of the game.

I personally would like to see an investigation against the linejudge in the Jets/Bills game(did he have money on the Jets yesterday?). One series Burress almost rapes the cornerback while shoving him out of the way to get the catch and the line judge calls nothing, then on the next series Holmes and the CB are pretty much running stride for stride and a pass that is 7 or so yards past Holmes and this same line judge calls defensive pass interference even though he had no hope of catching it anyways. I am not a big conspiracy believer but when I watch the same guy miss such an obvious one and then call a bullshit one affecting the same team I do start to ask really? I am glad that the guys on NBC brought up these exact same two plays as well and were dumbfounded on what and wasn't called, at least it wasn't just me shaking my head during the game.

I agree,I've found other things to do because I get so excited about a play only to have a flag on the play or,and mostly pass interference calls are what games seem to be decided on starting with the 1st pass of the game. I find it very hard to sit through a whole game anymore

Its a given that the surefire, fail safe, bullet proof, can NOT fail, 100%, bet your grandma on it, and your kids too, easy as apple pie, and guaranteed way to control the outcome of a game is thru the officiating. Especially if the guy is an aging, overweight, couple of kids in college, and just don't give a shit cause I have to work two jobs anyway, and out of shape besides, underpaid official. (See NBA most recently. They have a confessed fixer and nobody cares).
