some of them are drunk on the air. i have a friend who works for a station that announces games for an ncaa school that i will not name, and he said the ex-player who calls their cames is usually good and drunk on air.

bernie kosar is one of the brightest football minds out there. if you can get past his voice (he took a few too many hits late in his career and those concussions led to his slowing down his speech a little), he is dead on with his analysis and often times correctly predicts what will happen on a play before it happens. he's not looking for a career in broadcasting, he just does the preseason gig for fun because he still loves the browns.
