Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans - game info
Both Indianapolis and Tennessee come in to this game on big losing streaks so something's gotta give tonight - Andy Richmond has the lowdown
Match odds: Indianapolis [1.58], Tennessee [2.68] Both of these two have hit the skids in recent weeks, the Colts have lost their last three whilst the Titans have strung together five consecutive defeats. Most concerning for Tennessee is their defence, which appears to have forgotten how to tackle - a facet of their game that was particularly awful in Sunday's defeat against Jacksonville. It's a strange turnaround for a team that opened 5-2 and topped the division at one stage. Defensively, they can't stop the run allowing an average of 159.4 rushing yards during this losing streak and Tennessee, giving up a season-high 258 yards on the ground last Sunday against the Jaguars. Fortunately for the Titans the Indianapolis running game has become virtually non-existent this season. Despite their run defence woes, the Titans' biggest problems stem from a sputtering offence. They have now gone 13 quarters without an offensive touchdown, totalling just six points in their last two games against sides - Houston and Jacksonville - who rank 29th and 25th in terms of yards conceded. Their main threat, running back Chris Johnson, has been contained of late and with starting quarterback Vince Young gone for the season, the Titans are being forced to rely on veteran Kerry Collins to direct operations. That's not to say that the Colts don't have their own set of difficulties to overcome. Offensively they have been forced to play without any appreciable running game for several weeks and they are averaging 54.6 yards on the ground and 3.0 per carry over the last five games. With Joseph Addai doubtful tonight that situation is unlikely to change. Of course, the Colts always have quarterback Peyton Manning but even he is having problems with a one-dimensional offence having thrown 11 interceptions in his last three games. That statistic is all down to the lack of a running game and poor decision-making by the usually very reliable Manning, but he still leads an offence which is top-ranked in the passing department and can still put points on the board - they average 26 per game. He still has his favourite targets of wide receivers Reggie Wayne and Pierre Garcon available and both are worth more than a glance in the touchdown scorer markets. This contest boils down to who can overcome their problems and with the Colts having won their last three against the Titans and their last five Thursday night games, I'm surprised to see them only asked to give up 2.5 points in a bid to get their season back on track. Recommended Bet: Back Indianapolis Colts -2.5 @ [1.72] or better to beat the Tennessee Titans |

If the Colts cover tonight then Vegas is at a pretty big loss, and Vegas doesn't like any loss of this size; even if its a trap or chase. But all put in, I'm on the Colts!!
