Injured Packers players: Let us in team photo!

If Linebacker Nick Barnett and Tight End Jermichael Finley couldn't play for the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl, they at least wanted to be included in the team photo.

It’s kinda sad to think .. Just goes you injured yourself you not part,” Barnett wrote.

“We got hurt playing for the team. Its not like we got injury bs’in around,” Finley wrote. “And its a team rule! Shame . . . I never trip abt anything, but the way IR players are getting treated not cool… I guess its what have u done for me lately!”

I am sure they will be asked along. A lot going on this week for the teams. May be on a list but might have been forgotten. Most likely both will be on the side lines for the game.

I think that is a BS kind of rule in my opinion. The fact they played, contributed & got hurt on the teams watch. No matter how you slice it, they are still part of the team & should be treated as such.

With that said, if that is their policy, if Green Bay wins the super bowl, will or won't the players on the injured reserve list receive rings?

After learning of Rodgers’ comments, presumably via Twitter, Barnett fired off a series of Tweets in reaction,

“Well looks like people have something to say about where some people choose to do there rehab. Try rehabing with 16 others then 53 more … Doubt you get the full attention needed.. It's easy to speak about others when you are not in their position. Talk about "union" ha.”

Barnett then deleted those Tweets from his feed before saying that he was closing his Twitter account.

“Goodbye twitter... It was fun while it lasted.. But we need to focus on important things.. Before I delete this page just wanted to say I was never trying to be a distration... I am packer have been one for 8 going on 9 years. … I love this team this city.. All I wanted to be is included as a teammate nothing more. Looks like it has back fired on me. … That was asking too much... Sorry if I offended anyone.. That was not my intention.. Never that …”
