Jason Taylor Traded To The Skins

The Washington Redskins traded for defensive end Jason Taylor on Sunday, sending two draft picks to the Miami Dolphins.

The Redskins gave the Dolphins a second-round pick in 2009 and a sixth-round pick in 2010.

Washington executive vice president Vinny Cerrato said Taylor is expected to report to Redskins training camp on Monday.

The deal came only hours after the Redskins lost starting defensive end Phillip Daniels to a season-ending knee injury.

Taylor even at 33 is still MUCH more than just age. He can still play at a very high level.... This coming from someone who hasnt missed a Miami game in about 12 years.... a 2nd and a 6th is a good deal for both.

The Skins will love what he brings to the table and he gets to go against his boy Zack two times this year.

Didn't think we would end up with a 2nd round pick, wish they would of held him but glad it's over now so they can move forward

hmm i think they could have gotten more if they had waited and shopped him around a litle bit. the 2nd round rounder is good, but the 6th rounder?

It's one way of selling those high priced tickets when your team is the laughing stock of it's division. Bring in the big name players, whether they have any fuel left in their tanks it doesn't matter. The lobbyists in Washington don't know any better.

Snyder is trying to sign Roger Clemens to a deal now.

I thought he wanted to go to a contender? The only thing the Skins will be contending for is last place in their division.

Would have been a good trade for the Skins 5 years ago. Parcells gets a 2nd rounder for this has been? Nice job Bill.
