Jerry Jones should have been a politician

Jones defended the height of the board Friday night after the game.

"I’m not worried about it," Jones said after the Cowboys’ 30-10 victory. "…The real world is if you look at the thousands of punts in the NFL, and the trajectory of the punts, where they are on the field, and where they’re going, and the fact they like to kick to the sidelines, you don’t have any issue with this board."

Yea, well it didn't take "thousands of punts." It took one game. And prior to the game during warmups punters from both teams hit the things. It's a big ass mistake in a 1.6 billion dollar edifice. Instead of bullshiting, it's gonna have to be fixed.

They have to move the scoreboard up for the U2 concert at the stadium in October so most likely they will just move it before the first regular season game and we will never hear about it again.

jerry jones isnt moving shit. the punter from tennessee was trying to hit the scoreboard.

the alamo dome has their score board the same height. Supposedly 2 years ago at training camp they had mcbriar out there launching REAL punts seeing if he could hit it and he never came close.

Don't know where you get your info. It only took one game to expose the thing. The scoreboard makes a mockery of the game and will definetly be raised. Guaranteed!

Scoreboard is at 90 Ft... NFL regulates 85 feet...

But, I'm sure he'll move it for the U2 concert to collect the money and be done with it... pretty simple

That should have been the topic of this post. It was a beautiful stadium.

These synchphats figure the standards have been sent down by God himself. Immutable and sacred. Whatever you do, don't believe your lying eyes. Unbelievable!

You seem to have alot of anger issues, maybe this should be something you concern yourself with more than the size of this scoreboard, lol!!

And most of the guys around here seem to act like it's their duty to give but one side to any story always backing up the powers that be whether they are books or nfl owners.

And this is a sports forum. Bigger problems like the economy don't fit here. The way most of the guys are here it's a sports forum where political correctness means taking one side, the power structure's side on nearly every issue. Well check it out. The scoreboard is a big issue for nfl fans. It's a marvelous new stadium but it only took a single game and warmups to reveal they got a big problem. You can understand Jones who built the place wanting to cold water criticism and if you guys want to let him do your thinking for you, oh well. No matter how many guys post here it's no big thing, even after it's evident it's a bad deal, in the end the thing will be raised. And none of you will even realize how lame you sound marching along in lockstep.
