Jets-Broncos yesterday

Forgive me if this was covered elsewhere

But Broncos let LT score at the end? Game tape seems to show at
least a poor effort by Broncs defense.

Right move or not, if it's true? I know this came up in a couple other games this year.

First do you think they did let him score? 2nd, right strategy if they did?

incorrect strategy if you had +3.5

i think incorrect strategy if you're up by 3 or more - you have to try to stop them. If youre up by 2 or 1, or tied, i think you let them score the TD and save yourself some time to make the comeback, cause a FG beats you anyway

But as long as stopping them wins you the game (or at worst ties with a FG) you try to stop them

I agree with the premise, but after seeing the play a few times, Moses wishes the Red Sea parted farther than the Broncos defense

That's the only thing, holiding them takes it to OT, but it sure looks otherwise to my trained eyes

no way they let him score there on purpose...because its not like the jets were in position to take a knee and kick the fg. they werent playing for ot by kicking a fg they were gonna try and score a td

Absolutely let him score. It was the only way Den had a shot. Yes I do agree with the strategy.

So I"m not crazy? Or should I say, I'm not crazy about this?

It does look that way, to me

So if they were up by three why would they let him? Wouldnt they rather hold the jets to a fg instead?

they did let them score, and Mcdaniels is a moron. It's hard to score a TD in under 90 seconds in the NFL, especially against a top D.
