Which job would you take?
Of the current coaching vacancies in the NFL which one would you choose and why? Its easy to be a homer and pick your team if they need a head coach but if you really would take over a team what factors would lure you to take the job. Reviewing the four teams I would take Atlanta. This team has nowhere to go but up. With no QB in the fold your obviously going to need to draft one. This would provide some job security as the management is going to have to afford you the opportunity to develop this QB and expectations for the next couple seasons wont be high even if you only win 2-4 games the following season.
Secondly, there still is some semblance of a running game and Norwood looks like a nice Willie Parker (minus the broken fib) type back for the future. This will allow you to shorten games and keep some of them close and provides a safety net for that rookie QB. Third, with the hodgepodge QB situation ATL went through this year, these receivers that were considered third stringers at best did produce some stats and it seems like the first round picks are developing into some nice talents. Fourth, Arthur Blank. The guys wants to win and is willing to work through the hard times to produce a winning franchise. He showed patience and determination (Petrino misused that and showed his true colours) with the team this season and was constantly stating that this year was hard but he was committed to the long run in bringing a winning team back to ATL. Lastly, defense. There is talent on the defensive side of the ball and if you can put an offense together that doesn't keep them on the field 40 minutes a game they will give you the opportunity to win games. Thats my thoughts on why I would choose ATL, what about everyone else? |

Atlanta is a mess.....
Miami is just unhealthy as hell... Baltimore is in dire need of new blood...however, they are closest team to getting to a winning record but they would need an overhaul to get to the super bowl again wde
