I did a bit of studying a few days ago and noticed some interesting trends that might be worth noting for the Bills @ Chiefs home opener.

Since 1985 the Chiefs have played only 12 home openers to kick off the regular season. During this time they have gone a respectable 8-2-2 ATS. Even more interesting is that Kansas City, when favored by 3 points or more, have gone 5-0 ATS. In those five games they've outscored opponents by an average of 14.2 points. Another note to mention is regarding the total. In those 12 games the under has gone a solid 10-2.

I'm not sure how many of you follow trends and all but I thought I'd share anyways.

EDIT: Perhaps someone might be able to double check the numbers? I'm basing my statistics off of what I see on covers. I'd like to think that it's reputable site but it's always better to get some conformation when it comes to trends like these.
