Kenechi Udeze diagnosed with leukemia

Kenechi Udeze, starting defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings, has leukemia, according to two Twin Cities television stations.
KSTP-TV is reporting that Udeze is undergoing tests and it could be several weks before the severity of his cancer is known. Leukemia is a cancer that begins in blood cells.
KMSP-TV says that Udeze is hospitalized at Fairview Southdale Hospital. Udeze was a starting defensive end for the University of Southern California's 2003 national championship team. The Vikings drafted him in the first round in 2004.
