right, Led (not really was a veteran team, on defense thru expansion draft) Carolina to nfc championship, lost to GB, who lost to Denver to deny their repeat

then a few years later led the Giants in semi upset over Minnesota in NFCC, then blown out by Ravens in SB

some real bad years at NO when Ditka was coach

decent but, yeah who cares

I don't care, but with the quarterbacks being signed today, he would have made a team. I do remember his early days in Carolina when he almost started a race riot. He called a teammate the N-word, and said he thought it would help them bond. It didn't.

He was a big time star at Penn setting all kinda of records and winning the Maxwell award and the Davey O'Brien award as well as finishing 4th in the Heisman voting. He also had a cannon for an arm. He had some problems with the bottle but I thought he had a pretty decent career wherever he played, you can't deny the stats he put up in his 16 years in the league
