Kurt Warner: Class act
People are probably getting sick of hearing about this, but damn this guy is a breath of fresh air. Listening to Mike&Mike this morning, and I guess Warner picked up the check for 20 STEELERS FANS at a restaurant the Warner's were at. Apparently Warner pays for someone else's check whenever he goes out, a tradition that started when he was in St. Louis because the manager would give them their meal for free so he would pay for someone else's meal. Too bad we usually only hear all the negative pub of players, don't hear enough stories like this!

man that is awesome..dude played in the lowest ranks of his given sport and has now made it to his 3rd super bowl and still has total class..doesn't think he is above anyone or anything

Wasn't he bagging groceries or something before getting a call from the Arena League?
I've always liked Warner, except when he was afraid of the defense there for a while and would fumble if you looked at him. He's turned that shit around. Good for him. Not gonna win today, but still... good for him.

A few of those sort of stories.
David Dixon a lineman for the Vikings, story is an interesting one too. Got spotted in a movie theatre of all places by a scout here in NZ. Was just in the que to buy ice cream / popcorn and got approached "Have you ever played American Football" (don't think he ever had) and the rest is history.
