Let's talk Patriots-Ravens

As a die hard Pats fan Baltimore is one of the two teams that I really didn't want the Pats to face at all. The other was New Orleans but so much for that.

I really think this game is gonna come down to how well the Pats can contain Ray Rice. The guy is a beast and I'm really hoping our D can limit his impact. I'm praying for snow (and I hate snow) just so it limits his damage. I have no idea what has happened with Flacco but everytime I've seen him he has looked awful this year.

I won't be touching this game but I'm really surprised the line is around 9. I know the Ravens have been terrible on the road this year but they already kicked our asses a couple of years ago in the playoffs at Gillette and I think our defense was better that year then this year.

Would love to see a Pats-Giants rematch...

I think the pats could run away from baltimore leaving flacco in a hole he won't be able to climb out of.

This line kind of blows my mind. If it wasn't so Juicy at +9 I would pound the Ravens. This line stems from the pats pasting of the Broncs and the Ravens survival of the Texans. Ask yourself......what if the Ravens pounded the Texans and the Pats had just squeaked by Tebow? I don't think the line would be this big? Throw Ed Reed's questionable injury in the mix...

The "X" factor will be New England's "D" what can you expect from them? Keep in mind the Pats weren't exactly playing great ball down the stretch. Ya they won but the "D" was ugly. Week 16 Miami had a 17-0 lead at half in Foxborough and faded 23-20 but covered as huge dogs. The Bills in week 17 opened up a 21-0 lead in Pats land then folded like cheap shirt. In their first meeting up in Buffalo the Bills were down 21 at half and turned the tables with a massive comeback.

Tom's offense has bailed them out more times this year then I count. When the Pats face a top notch D they struggle to keep pace. Like when the Giants and steelers took them down this year. If they run run and run.......keep Tom off the field. Easier said then done? Maybe not against a soft Pats "D"

Pats had a first round and a second round BYE. Considering the level of competition they faced in round 2

Patriots haven't played a defense like this.
They have struggled and lost to great defenses.
Joe Flacco played against one the top defenses in the league in Houston.

If the Giants make it to the Super Bowl, they'll be licking their chops to play either team.

Brady will tear the roof off that weak ass secondary, Now with reed banged up they are in serious trouble, Gay Ray will have a nightmare vs Gronk and Hernz. Pats D line should hold R Rice to a modest day but comming from behind will hurt the Rats Off game plan. Boldin is a beast, double team his arse.....

Pats roll........

Flacco stinks.
Right after Brady finishes cornholing the secondary, he'll slap his junk on the upper lip of the Raven's D and give them a dirty Hernandez.
Ray Lewis is a fossil and he's going to be eaten by a Gronkasaurus.

Ravens secondary picked off three passes yesterday.

Key for the Ravens will be the ability to run. Worse backs than Ray Rice have been able to run vs Pats, in their last five games, Lance Ball and Willis McGahee combined for 120 yards, CJ Spiller ran 13 times for 60 yards, Reggie Bush ran 22 times for 113 yards, Ball and McGahee again teamed up for 134 yards in the first meeting, and Roy Helu ran 27 times for 126 yards.

Flacco didn't do much yesterday, but got better as the game went along, completing 10 of his last 15 throws and did not turn the ball over. If he can do something similar this week, along with a steady running game, Ravens should be in good shape.

You mean Brady, the guy they picked off three times in the playoff game two years ago? And then twice last year? Obviously better than TJ Yates, but Ravens have defended him well in the past and have played well at Foxboro.

Brady's last three games vs Ravens, QB ratings of 76.3 (2007), 49.1 (2009 playoffs), and 69.5 (last year). They are capable of keeping him under wraps, whether they will this time remains to be seen, but for them to do it again isn't that much of a reach.
