looking for travel help in chicago

going to a bears game. wanted to know where to stay, where to go out and what attractions to see.

i don't need a high class hotel. reasonable prices would be great, just something within reasonable distance to stadium.

all help is appreciated.

1) Fly into O'Hare, Midway blows.

2) Any hotel downtown is good. "The W" is pretty sweet. A little pricey, but definately worth the stay.

3) If you like the college-scene, check out the bars in the Wrigleyville. Take any redline "L" to Addison and get off. You can literally walk to 50 different bars. If you like more expensive clubs, Rush Street. I prefer "Y Bar" on Ontario and Wells. House music, loungy, GREAT SCENERY.

4) Grab some Italian Ice from Mario's on Taylor St., a hotdog from Portillo's, and a beef from Al's.

Enjoy Chicago man.

Cheapest hotel within walking distance is the Congress on Michigan Ave. Older hotel but I would recommend if you are going to a Bears game. 10 minute walk to Soldier Field. Hotel at the southern part of Michigan Ave. You can walk north on Michigan Ave, or take the bus, and you will find plenty to do.

Either airport will do you fine. If you come in to Midway you take the Orange Line, if you come in to OHare you take the Blue Line. Both will get you within a 5 minute walk to the hotel.
