Losing Colts return to Indy and are greeted by 11 fans

When the Saints make their triumphant return to New Orleans for a victory parade on Tuesday, the crowds are expected to be so enormous that the city will be shut down for everything else.

When the Colts returned to Indianapolis today, they were greeted by a somewhat more subdued crowd.

According to the Indianapolis Star, a grand total of 11 people showed up at Indianapolis International Airport when the team returned this afternoon.

The 11 die-hard fans weren't allowed to get close to the players; they were held behind a security fence hundreds of feet away.

They are lucky 11 showed.

It's not like these guys are playing for free. They get paid enormous salaries to play a game, and then they expect a hero's welcome when they return from losing the Super Bowl. I've been a Colts fan all my life, but I really don't see the logic here.

Shows how fickle and fair-weather the so-called fans are.

Snappy. I love you man, but I think that with have the season they had....there should have been at least 20 people there........The Colts fans would be a hurtn if they played in an out-door stadium...I'm not sure if they would ever sell out.

The funniest part of the story is that the 11 fans were held behind a security fence hundreds of feet away Were they afraid a mass riot was going to break out?

Thats 11 more than should have shown. Until Caldwell is gone, that team is black-balled. That sh*t he did against the Jets to cost the chance at a perfect season, was a slap in the face to the fans.
