Lovie, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out

Can it really happen? According to Hub Arkush, editor and founder of Pro Football Weekly , he stated today that behind closed doors, Bear top brass has been in contact with all the big guys.Gruden, Shanahan, Holgrem, Cower..anyone with a ring that knows how to save their $20,000,000+ investment in Cutler, as opposed to being the laughing stock of the NFL.

Da Fans are heard again, but this time, the right guy will be hired

Hard to believe they will opt to kick lovies ass out, but whe the franchise is worth over a Billion, what's a few million

BYE BYE Lovie, I hope

four-year, $22 million signed in 2007 ( after super bowl)

two more years left

Less than a month after reaching the Super Bowl, the Chicago Bears resolved a major issue Wednesday night when they agreed on an extension with Smith that runs through 2011.

so, they would rather blow off the $25M invested in Cutler, than blow off the $11M of Lovies contract?

They never would have done it prior to Cutler.

Look at it this way. You buy what is supposed to be a very fine piece of equipment for your manufacturing plant, that gives you the state of the art in production. After 3 moths you find out the plant manager can't get the production from the equipment, and it is costing you a fortune. Do you just scrap the equipment, or hire someone who can get it to do the job it is capable of doing?

def time for a change, lovie is a nice guy but cutler is scared to death in the redzone, and the defense is soft via injuries or whtever. maybe den will do tradebacks

Lovie already demoted himself to defensive coordinator. I don't know how the contracts are arranged but I wonder if the team could simply demote him permanently and hire Shannahan or the like as head coach.

Lovie is an excellent defensive mind, I would keep him if I could but he has proven completely inept with an offense...he not only can't coach one he definitely cannot develop one either. And his choice to keep Turner year after year is HIS choice, and his error.

Holgren is out he wants total control gm/head coach, Gruden I hope not he's overated, That leaves Shannahan as the fav he has Chicago connections coached at MAINE SOUTH HS in 70's would be a good fit. Cowher is to expensive forr penny pinching McCaskey's. The Bears have to make a head coaching change Lovie sucks. Why did Shannahan turn down the Buffalo job has a deal already been done I hope so..

Lovie should have never got a 4 year extension after losing in Super Bowl he hasn't had a winng record since. He's been fully involved in last 3 drafts and is now calling all defensive plays. I don't think his phone will be ringing when he gets fired.
