Maybe a square play but....

I really like KC +5.5 on Sunday. The way KC has played the last few weeks has not been flukish, they have really started to play inspired ball the last couple games. Thigpen is progressing at a redic rate and is playing very well, the young D has been stepping up. I think KC will be able to put up points on a mediocre Saints D. Even though a lot of the team is beat up, LJ comes back this week (and I still really dislike him) and think he shows up. I think the Chiefs are due for a win and while I hate betting against Drew Brees I think the fighting Herms cover the number and have a good shot at winning this......

Thoughts?

I lean to KC.

The scary parts (let me talk us both out of this) is I fear a KC letdown (big effort at SD) and if you examine how much yardage the Saints put up vs what KC allows I question if KC even gets on the field.

ok i am generally not one who looks that deeply into trends as i feel they do not offer a lot of useful information...but if you wanna talk trends...you can say sure....KC is 5-1 ATS when it is 9.5 or higher...but they are also 0-3 ATS when the spread is 9 or lower...take trends with a grain of salt...most NFL teams can cover double digit spreads as the dog...NO rolls

Not a big trends guy either but what I was trying to get at is that they have been competitive. Going to school in Kansas I have the undeniable pleasure of watching all the Chiefs games and there is no way you could watch the last few games and not see a vast improvement in their play. Earlier in the year I watched some of the worst NFL performances I can remember w/ Thigpen at the helm but he is really coming around. Team is a 2 years from competing for a playoff spot IMO. Not looking to get in a pissing contest I just think that some who have not watched KC in a few weeks think this is the KC team who quit against Carolina/Titans, personally dont think thats the case

i think LJ coming back hurts KC, seems to just bring the team down, also like reggie bush coming back, he is the key to saints game plan, yet thigpin is really showing me something lately, i would have to take the points with KC, couldnt take the money line though, saints D is just horrible

gl with your bet, i like it
