Are McNabb and Reid Done?

Another year, another failure for these two. Philly is now 1-4 in NFC title games, to go with their Superbowl loss. These guys simply can not win the big game. McNabb turned into McChoke in the 1st half, and then when the game was on the line, with 2 1/2 minutes left. He could not drive his team down the field against a weak Arizona defense.

Reid did not have his defense up for this game. Arizona ran, and passed at will in the first half. The Eagles could not stop Arizona on their final drive. The Eagles gave up 369 yards of offense. They gained well over 400 themselves, but had to settle for a couple of FG attempts (one missed) instead of TD's.

You Philly fans are used to this by now. The Eagles STILL have not won a Superbowl, and the future looks bleak. Is it time ofr McNabb and/or Reid to go?

I think threads like these that are started by people who have no idea about wahts going on in Philly are funny. McNabb is still a top QB in the league, his backup KOLB has done nothing to warrant his status of starter. Andy Reid called an excellent game offensively yesterday something that has always been a problem. jim johnsons blitzes were picked apart by screens and slants and it took to the second half to adjust. The Cards drove down on the field on an 8min drive and the defense didnt stop them, oh McNabb is on the sidelines so I dont know how thast his fault. This team is good not great or very good just good. It was a fun ride. McNabb missed alot of opportunities early in the game, but once again who is better to coach or QB this team? NOONE.

I believe with this thinking we should remove Marino from the Hall of Fame and put in his place Trent Dilfer, because obviously Dilfer is a much better QB than Marino because he won a Super Bowl and Marino didn't. What a bum that Marino is

How about we get rid of Jim Johnson, I do believe he is the Defensive Coordinator that allowed the Cardinals to run all over them in the first half Yet I never hear his name up for discussion when it comes to running somebody out of town. 4 Conference Championship games they have lost the Eagles have given up 29 to StLouis, 27 to TBay, 14 to Carolina(pretty good game defensively), and 32 yesterday to Arizona. In the Super Bowl loss they gave up 24 to the Pats

It makes no sense to you because you are blinded by the fact that this team has underachieved for years. Who was the favorite yesterday? Who was the favorite when the Eagles laid an egg against Carolina and Tampa Bay, BOTH at home? Now there is no denying that the Eagles are a good team. They have accomplished a lot. But they NEVER have gone all the way. Unlike Buffalo or Minnesota, they have not even been to 4 Superbowls. This current group simply can not get the job done. If you Philly fans want to settle for this, you are welcome to it. Just be prepared to take it in the tail feathers in the playoffs. It happens every year. McNabb chokes, and Reid does not do quite enough to ge the job done.

I was being sarcastic, but I do find it funny that I keep hearing about getting rid of McNabb and Reid yet Johnsons name is never mentioned but if you look at the history of these failures you can only really say one time out of the five did the defense do its job. Eagles still managed to score 25 points yesterday and yet lost. It wasn't McNabb who let the Cardinals take off 7 or 8 minutes on that last td drive, it wasn't McNabb who let the Cardinals convert a 3rd and Goal from the 10 yard line and score a td.

my bad krk... I think you hear Reid's name b/c McNabb isn't clutch or very accurate. If he was, it's my opinion that the eagles would have won a super bowl... He doesn't have the age excuse anymore... like my choke artist does (for now)...

Can you actually disagree with what he's saying, Philly? I have no issues with the Eagles. I actually wanted them to win yesterday. But in 5 tries at it, they have a SB loss (to the Pats, which is nothing to be ashamed of), 1 NFC Title, and 4 blown opportunities.

McNabb can't be blamed for the points given up by the defense, that's true. But he's not exactly the most clutch QB in the league. As for Reid, it's his crew of coordinators that are running things on both sides of the ball. Philly's D had played great lately, but to be picked apart like that by an Arizona team that was very beatable, it brings into question the decision making of JJ, the practices setup by Reid...it gets people wondering about who's on the chopping block.

I get what Bigdaddy QH was trying to get at. I'll ask the same question, but with no hostile intent: as a Philly fan, are you happy with McNabb and Reid as your QB & coach, respectively? Or are you wanting some changes to be made?
