Miami Dolphins place full page ad in Sunday’s paper

Thanking Zack Thomas for his 12 years as a Miami Dolphin

It say’s

Class.
Character.
Commitment.

Thank you Zack Thomas for your 12 years as a member of the South Florida community. You will always be part of the Miami Dolphins!

I have seen players take ads out like this before but this is the first time I can remember seeing a team do something like this. I thought it was a good, classy thing to do!

What's he talking about doing after he finally does retire?

From his interviews it sounds like he might want to be a position coach at some point but I honestly really haven’t heard much except that he wants to play

That is very nice, but totally pointless. Why take out the ad? I would be much more worried about building a team than printing public "thank you" notes. But I guess things have gotten so bad in Miami that there is not too much left for them to do.

Big Daddy:

I am pretty sure they are spending an abundant amount of time trying to build this team and restore it back to a respectable franchise.

As far as it being pointless, it’s nice to see an organization show some class to one player who has been a fan favorite and given the team everything he had for 12 years. The guy has more tackles than any linebacker in the hall of fame and for an undersized 5th round linebacker that was expected to be nothing but a special teams player – it was a pretty good ride. It was a nice gesture from the Dolphins, nothing more, nothing less and only “bitter people” are bothered by these things

Where was Huizenga when he dismantled the Marlins after their World Series???

He should've taken out a full page ad to aplogize to the fans.

I have no beef with Wayne Huzienga. There are a lot of people who disagree. He brought baseball to South Florida and was a good owner for both Panthers and Dolphins. He spends and lets people do their job. After 1997 that was horrible, no doubt.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?
