Michael Vick

Michael Vick is out of prison and headed to his Virginia home. We all know about the former NFL star quarterback's fall from grace involving dog fighting and the torture of the losing canines. Now, Vick is near paying his debt to society. Officially, it will be up July 20. But don't expect NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to welcome him back to the league with open arms or with anything else. At least not this season. Goodell has ruled the league with a firm hand since taking its reins a few years ago. Expect to see Vick playing in the Canada or maybe even the new United Football League, which begins play in October. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Vick playing in the NFL in 2010 when the hoopla following his freedom has waned and the economy improved. No NFL team is interested in having a major sponsors pull out because of a controversial figure on the roster. ONE MAN'S OPINION.

I think that an NFL team will take a chance on him. EVERYONE gets a second chance. Leonard Little killed a human being (not a dog) while driving drunk and he was let back in. Then he gets busted for driving drunk AGAIN and he is still in the league. Dozens and dozens of felons are playing in the NFL. The guy served his time. By no means am I minimizing what he did. But he deserves another chance. For sure someone will give it to him.

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Consider some of the names of QBs who have been in battles for a starting position in the last 12 months

names like Grossman and yuo see how thin the league is at QB

Some team will give Vick his shot

I agree 100%. Don't know if you saw the article in USA the other day, where a writer used the Little case in comparison to Vicks and basically said Little deserved another chance because his was an "accident" and he didn't mean it whereas Vick deliberately killed the dogs. That writer should be shot for writing such an article. Of course he didn't mention the fact Little was arrested again 6 years later for DD again!!! And of course he failed to mention that Little deliberatly got behind the wheel while drunk. That part was no accident! Vick deserves another chance just like everyone else...

His record proves that he is not a NFL QB. Why do people continually talk as though he was ever good. One of the worst QB in the NFL history.

doesnt matter about his record. the guy was/still could be a game changer that can put up some W's for a team that has a stiff for a QB ( ie...Vikings, Raiders, Houston...etc...)

The teams that are laggin in attendance and wins will be the ones interested in him. If you are not winning, and not drawing fans, who cares if protestors decend upon you. Your team could probably use the pub. He will be back in 2010, but he will not be the same QB.

Imo...Micheal Vick's record means nothing, a there is a GM out there that knows that he can sell tickets and merchandise by adding vick to the roster....

If your number one goal is to sell tickets and never win a Superbowl then I guess going with Vick makes sense. Its like a death sentence, if your dumb ass GM decides that to take a shot on Vick, your season is over before it starts. Oh you may sell tickets but the Ultimate goal will "NEVER" be reached.

Good Point Steel, but i dont think that he would be signed and then granted the first string qb slot, maybe a back up at least.
