Michael Vick to Patriots?

I was just talking to a buddy of mine who read at another site a rumor that the Patriots are interested in Vick and asked if I had heard anything(which I didn't), first thought was no way I can't see it, but the more I started to think about it would it be that far fetched?

So my question is has anybody heard of this rumor and is it that far fetched?

We all know that Hoody doesn't give a damn about what people think of him so to sign him I don't think would bother him. He obviously would not be coming in to be the starting QB with Tom Brady already sitting there but having Vick to come in and run a Pats version of the Wildcat could be something that I could see Hoody being interested in especially after he saw what the Wildcat did to his defense up and close and personal last year against the Fish. If Brady were to go down would Vick hurt the Pats at QB after they made a guy who hadn't played football in years look pretty damn good in Matt Cassel last year.

I don't know maybe I could see Hoody pull this trick out of a bag. Anybody else think it is plausible or heard any truth to this rumor?

Rumors are what keeps the summer going while we wait for substanitive things to talk about in here, so try this one. Mike Holmgren to San Francisco as team President. That one has a much better chance of happening than Vick does of even playing this year, much less with the Patsies.

I think it's a ridiculous topic. Vick is arguably the most electrifying athlete in all of professional sports. In a sport where ticket sales and television ratings are everything. We welcome dog lovers everywhere to visit the parks with their silly little picket signs saying "Vick is the Hitler of fleas" I can't wait for the hoopla to begin

As an athlete he was pretty damn good but a very questionable QB.

How do we know he is an overrated QB if he always had the worst receivers in the league? Remember, when Mike Smith took over the Falcons, the first thing he did was he got rid of all of those receivers, and the result was success. Remember the Monday Night game in New Orleans when the Super Dome was reopened after Katrina, the most obviously fixed game ever. How I wish I could find a video tape of those purposely dropped passes. Vick wasn't in that game, but it was the perfect example of how treacherous those receivers were.

Remember that OT game when Atlanta was a 4 point favorite and they were in field goal range, and Vick ran like 40 yards for a touchdown? - That was awesome. Made me a lot of money I thought was lost. I've always liked him because of that. Hell, he made me some money at Virginia Tech too.

I love everything about the NFL and I couldn't care less about those pit bulls that Mike Vick killed. Pit bulls are beaten and starved by some people to be vicious. Should all of those cruel pit bull trainers be put away in jail too? Vick was railroaded and that's clear to me. Please stop whining about Mike Vick.
