WELL WHAT CAN I SAY AFTER SUNDAYS PERFORMANCE ..... THE THOUGHT PROCESS WAS OFF QUITE CONSIDERABLY WITH MANY OF MY PICKS..... MAKE OR BREAK WEEK ILLUSIONS AS IT MAY SEEM..... I CAN SAY THAT ITS A LONG SEASON AND WHEN THE TRAIN ROLLS IT ROLLS....

ANYWAYS MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL HAS BEEN ONE OF THE BRIGHT SPOTS THIS SEASON FOR ME AS WE CASHED A GOM IN THE FIRST WEEK WITH THE OVER IN THE CHARGER/RAIDER GAME.... WE LOST LAST WEEKS BULLSHIT GAME AS MIAMI JUST FAILED MANY OF US IN A GAME THAT SHOULDVE WON....... WHICH LEADS US TO THIS ANOTHER GAME OF THE MONTH MNF PLAY... BEST OF LUCK ON YOUR PLAYS MALLERS

CAROLINA VS DALLAS

The Dallas Cowboys (1-1, 1-1 ATS) will host MNF searching for their first regular season victory in their new stadium against the slumping Carolina Panthers (0-2, 0-2 ATS) who themselves find their backs against the wall in a pretty much must win game.... The Cowboys find themselves without the services of Marion Barber for this game while the Panthers welcome back Chris Harris back at safety..... the line for this game opened at Dallas -9.5/ 45 and now stands at Dallas -8.5 / 48

The Panthers have a tough first half schedule this year, and it only gets tougher as now they play on the road in 4 of their next 6.... jake has had his problems this year as i think age is finally catching up with him and his team... he has thrown only 1 td pass this season with 5 picks and going back into last season in his last 10 starts he has only 7 touchdowns and a whopping 13 picks ~~ on the road last year and his 1 game on the road this season ( 5 tds / 8 picks ) .... i have to show something more to emphasis on the downside to his play of late ~~ it has been since week 8 of last season when he had a multiple 2 touchdown game, in fact he only had 4 all season last year !!!

I have heard on a few talk radio shows in the carolina area that some individuals on this Panther team dont have that winning attitude.... but for them to have any success in this game he will need his weapons, RB Deangelo Williams and WR'S Steve Smith / Mushin Muhammad to have big games..... unfortunately Deangelo is a career slow starter averaging only 41 yards per a game in september while the wr's have had terrible lifetime stats against these cowboys ( S. Smith 5 games ~ 1 td 78 ypg // M. muhammad ~ 6 games 0 td 58 ypg )

Dallas on the other hand has QB Tony Romo.... as good as a QB he can be, he still has those bad games.... he has thrown in 5 of his last 6 games a lower completion % than his 61.3 career number which is reason to be concerned especially with no terrell owens this year.... in his place is roy williams and grant it he was a high profile reciever in detroit i dont feel he has made his mark or found that qb/rec connection here in dallas yet with only 4 catches.... that leaves TE Jason Whitten as his main threat, and with 10 catches already you can expect romo to continue to look to his main target.

ROOKIEEE FINAL THOUGHTS:

The Panthers have so much going against them in this game as the cowboys have dominated them 8-1 lifetime and hold a 6-2-1 ats record against.... there is no other team in the nfl that the cowboys have had success against than these panthers..... Tony Romo is 3-0 lifetime against them , holds an 11-4 SU lifetime september record... compared to Jake delhomme 1-3 record against the cowboys and his lifetime 49.6 % completion rate, not to mention he is 3-9 SU against the NFC EAST

i just cant see anything changing dramatically for the panthers in this game, even though this is pretty much their season... like i explained earlier, deangelo is a slow starter and with both recievers accounting for only 1 touchdown in 11 games i find that the points will be far and few for these panthers...i dont think they want to throw the ball like last weeks 41 times, so they will try to run the ball with deangelo to set something up in the pass game..... the dallas secondary isnt lights out but with play maker demarcus ware coming in on blitzes ~ jake could have a long game......

one also has to wonder why the cowboys didnt stick with a run game that was netting over 8 yards per carry... Romo was clearly having one of those bad games last week so to see them get away from that kinda surprised me.... with chris harris back at saftey this week for the panthers, you can be sure he will cover that middle against dallas clark to prevent a big game from him.... felix jones will get his chance tonight but he is no marion barber, what he is good at is coming out the backfield on short passes which i believe dallas will use often in this game.......

im loving the under in this game fellas as both teams have much to play for in this one.... make no mistake about this one with the high point spread as i believe dallas shuts them down once again as they are clearly the better playing team coming into this game.

my game of the month #2 play is on the under in this game as the cowboys have played under the total in 10 out of last 14 after an ATS loss.....

i also will side with the cowboys in their new stadium as the dallas cowboys are 6-2 L8 as a favorite / 8-3 last 11 in september games and 5-2 against the nfc.... NOT TO MENTION ..... the panthers are 0-5 ATS when they give up 350 yards in prior game...

Rookie I think your looking into the stats too much. DWill had a slow start this last year which was his first year starting. He has been good this year so far with 2 TD's and only limited carries due to Carolina being behind early in both games.
Jake looked good last week connecting with Smith on several long passes. If he can connect on one or two early tommorrow then it will go a long way in opening the running lanes for Williams and Stewart. The Steve Smith of New York was able to tear apart Dallas last week so the good Steve Smith should have no problem.
I actually think this game goes over and quite easily. For you sake I hope it stays under and Carolina get the win for me as I have *20 on the panthers +9.5. Going to be one interesting game.

Well to be honest with you, imo this weekends games were won and covered by the better team.... I just dont see carolina better than the cowboys right now.... This carolina team hasnt covered a game whether pre season or the 1st 2 games since their playoff loss to arizona..... Yes they need this game, but the boys need a win in their house and this is a soft spot for them against a team they have owned.... Just think defense will rule this game.... The question you have to ask is how much will dallas win by

Yeah I see where your coming from. Dallas just aint that good either. Sure they beat Tampa but then lost to the Giants. Carolina had a great chance to tie the game last week and take it into overtime but couldn't get the TD.

What ever happens it should be an entertaining game. Panthers win by 4 haha
