monday night line

been stuck on +3 +110 and -3 -120 or somewhere near that for almost the whole week pretty much everywhere. Right now matchbook looks to be the only major book shading it to 3.5, but why the juice and for so long? and is this thing moving later?

I would expect this line to move to 3.5 with the juice being what it is, and also because 99% of the anylists on sunday picked the Panthers at home.
My personal thoughts about the matchup is that 3.5 points would be alot for a struggling quarterback against a very solid defense in a division rivalry. I know the Buccs have been poor on the road this year but I expect the pressure to be on dellhome and the home team tonight. Buccs not much to lose here, great spot for a spoiler and I will be even more confident in this lean if that line doesnt move.

my book has it 3.5 I like the panthers but I have to agree with you. most places have it at 3 and most services and everyone is taking panthers yet the line is not moving up. something fishy. only thing i can think of is everyone is putting their bets in later then the line would move up or their is less but larger bets on tampa.

urgent more for panthers because final two games are away so if go in as WC they are on 3rd st roadie in Playoffs

They already lost to BUCS early season so they are not getting to the superbowl

I will say one thing tho this year the NFC south is second best DIV in NFL all 4 teams are over 500

THEY elimanted thier whole div alaredy Falcons Saints and Panthers

They beat every team in the NFC north

The Vkings they Year the set most points scored in History of NFL 15 - 1 season

that one loss to DIV Rival Buccaneers !

LOST finals to falcons as a 12 point favorite

MISSED FG end of regulation went into OT LOST the Game

NO Superbowl win for the 15-1 Vikings

I shouldnt have said the buccs dont have much to lose, The panthers are favored to win, they are at home.... they are supposed to win against a bad road team . The buccs do have something to play for here, but still the pressure is on the panthers here agianst a team that embarrased the panthers earlier this year

That game Jake Delhomme went 20 for 39 passing, 0 touchdowns and 3 INTS and had a quarterback rating of 38.6 in that game. He is a better qb then that, but he has struggled big time rescently , just 4 weeks ago out of the panther bye week Delhomme vs. the RAIDERS, went 7 for 27 and threw 4 INTS and only 1 touchdown and had a quarterback rating of 12.3
Since that game I will admit he has done much better but it appears they are not letting him throw as much excluding the Atlanta loss where they were losing so bad they were forced to throw. Delhomme did enough to get the win last week and you can make a case for that being more important, but his runningbacks had huge days and delhomme only completed 12 passes, still enough to win.

Maybe Delhomme has a breakout game in him, but if we are talking about wins, they are simular. If we are talking about who is "struggling" they are not close
.
Delhomme has a passer rating of 81.7

Garcia has a passer rating of 92.5

By ASSOCIATED PRESS
Garcia completed 15 of 20 passes for 173 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in a 27-3 win, and has currently led Tampa to four straight wins.

His teams have won five in a row against the Panthers, with Garcia completing 60.4 percent of his passes for 1,178 yards and nine touchdowns against three interceptions in those games.

With his efficient play, Garcia seems to be the perfect player to lead the Buccaneers. He's completed 67.2 percent of his passes with eight TDs and three INTs, giving Tampa Bay a chance to win its second straight NFC South title.

The Bucs, meanwhile, intercepted Drew Brees three times and sacked him once to slow down the NFL's top-ranked offense during a 23-20 victory over New Orleans last Sunday

100% agreed!!! Since the Giants lost yesterday this game has so much value. This game could be for 1st or 2nd seed and home field advantage. Not trying to be a homer here, but the Bucs have one of the best rushing D's and Carolina has no air attack. Look for the Bucs D to win this game.

One more thing, last meeting earlier this year was 27-3

I have no experience with matchbook, i think it does differ though if i remember right it is somekind of exchange book.

Just was looking at some live/stale lines around the books.

rjb likes carolina here.

That earlier meeting is one of the only worries for me backing the buccs +3
