Monday Night Special!!! Minnesota wins it outright.

YTD : 22-18-2

Week 5 Monday Night Special

Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints -3.0
Welcome back Brian McKinney. Adrian Peterson and this offense have been missing you big time. This game is just a TERRIBLE match-up for the Saints. Offensively the Saints are going to be in trouble, they are missing 3 key receivers (Shockey, Colston, Patten), and I don’t think they’ll be able to move the ball with Minnesota’s suffocating Run D. On the flipside of the ball, New Orleans defense is terrible. How they are going to stop Adrian Peterson, now that he’s getting his LT back is beyond me. Even Gus Frerotte will hook up with Berrian on at least 1 deep ball, and that’ll be enough to seal the deal for the Vikings. Minnesota covers here, and probably wins this thing outright.

Mac Picks: Minnesota +3.0

Well,

do not forget that New Orleans had a great defensive game last week against the 49ers... Gore is no peterson, but they stuffed him last week... all they need to do is focus on the run because Minny cant pass.

New Orleans have throw on pace now for 5707 yards this season which would be third in nfl history and that is amazing. Those 3 players you said were out that are their top receivers, they are on pace for 1292 receiving yards combined... which leaves about 3500 you are not accounting for. Bush is their primary receiver in reality, and have you seen Lance Moore the last few weeks?! Dont forget Devery Henderson or Robert Meachem who both have pulled in 70+ yard touchdown catches this season already.

This line to me is rediculous and New Orleans should be favored much closer to 7. Minnesota will stop the run.... no crap, New Orleans doesnt have a run. They are pass heavy and Minnesota cant stop that. Even Kerry Collins had 200 yards last week against Minnesota which even after yesterdays game remains his season high. Imagine what the QB with the highest Completion percentage and rating will do.

I am not also not sure why you added that Frerotte will hook up with at least 1 deep ball for Berrian, when the deepest he has caught this year was 48. and the second deepest was 24. PLUS Berrian admitted that he may not be able to play on monday because of his knee. Usually receivers that are iffy with knee injuries dont catch bombs.

"News: Berrian (knee) participated in a light practice on Saturday and says he's "optimistic" about playing Monday against the Saints, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports."

Berrian having knee issues, no passing offense, and relying solely on the run against a MAJOR pass happy team spells disaster for Minny. The only chance Minnesota has is that New Orleans turns the ball over a few times giving them great field poisitioning. AP will have a huge game, maybe 150 or 175 yards, but if Frerotte doesnt include an effective passing game, this game will be over early

Minnesota 17 New Orleans 34

no actually this is what makes cappersmall, well, cappersmall. you get different input from different cappers. he wasn't saying outright "lol wat a stupid pik NO -3 to da bank!!", he was just explaining why it may not be as close of a game than the OP thought it would be.

keep up the good work broche
