Moss in some trouble

Woman is accusing Moss of some type of violence against her and the judge in FLA has granted a restraining order....obviously the judge feels there is legitimate evidence Moss did something wrong. Just in time for the biggest game of the season

*from Yahoo*

New England Patriots' wide receiver Randy Moss said Wednesday that allegations he committed battery against a woman are false and that she made the claim to get money from him according to Boston.com

"I want to make something clear," the Patriots wide receiver said while surrounded by reporters and cameras at his locker. "In my whole entire life of living 30 years, I've never put my hand on one woman, physically or in an angry manner."

Florida radio station WDBO reported that a woman filed for an order of protection against Moss, alleging he committed battery against her. The report said a temporary injunction was issued, barring Moss from coming within 500 feet of the woman and from using or possessing firearms.

A Judge doesnt issue this order without sufficient evidence of something. She might have told Randy I will hold this back if you pay me six figures, but obviously something happened involving a gun and he thinks its worth his name getting aired out to pay less money in the long run

kinda of strange she wouldnt just file assault charges against him though

Judges order these all the time. They don't need evidence to hand out restraining orders and don't even need to hear from the accused party. I had to get one myself to keep an old girfriend away from my work because she was causing scenes and I was afraid I was going to lose my job. It was a simple process. I went in and talked to a judge for 5 minutes. The next day she received the order. I had no proof even though it happened. You just don't need proof in these matters.

when the plantiff is making accusations of a gun being involved, im not 100% positive, but im pretty sure you need a police report at the very least, if not a witness.

but yeah, she makes the claim, and if the judge buys it the order is issued. No rebuttal involved from the accused party

Like i said before, this seems to be a load of crap though. why wouldnt she just file assault charges?
