Most memorable Super Bowl's halftime shows

Janet Jackson exposed breast in SB XXXviii

Prince and the Florida A&M band performed in the heavy rain that drenched the stage...Purple Rain perfectly performed. (SB XLI, Colts won!)

SB XXXVI: U2 performed post 9/11...unforgettable

I've seen the Who now probably about 8 times, the first time being The Kids are Allright in 1989 (25 years after the band formed no less!). They are probably my favorite band of all time, I last saw them in 2004.

In 2008 they recorded a cable special and played their hits...again. They were awful. Roger's voice simply cannot get it done anymore on any notes outside the basic range, and although Townsend can still play the notes the wild solos are history.

I am honestly embarassed for them that now, 46 years after they formed, they are playing the super bowl. a once great band will look old and pitiful, imo.

Hopefully they can select a few of their hits that won't require a wide vocal range or any big guitar solos, or maybe they will "get up" for this game and really practice to the point where Roger can still sound decent.

Really sick of the tired old acts getting the gigs now after Jackson. I was beyond embarassed for the Boss (who I don't particuarly like) trying to look like he was 25 doing slide moves and things like that.

In modern times Prince is by far my favorite show, and his use of the guitar as a phallic symbol right after the Jackson episode made it even better.
