Got 16 at 5d; Heritage didn't put 'em up; disappointing.

Thanks for the "good luck" wishes from my football buddies from last year.

Off a lousy NBA year, but as I said in that thread - it's not my sport, NCAA foots is, and we kicked butt in the bowl season here. Hopefully we'll do it again this season . . .

OK, off to a good start, hit both plays last week; 2-0 for the preseason.

Despite what scam services say in their come-ons, the preseason is a crap shoot. True - there are edges, such as everyone knows the Colts could care less about winning (started with Dungy, continues with Caldwell who lost 7 of 8 the last 2 yrs and 0-2 this year for a 1-9 SU record, and most by double digits); but bookies know this too and try and adjust the lines.
Things are especially uncertain this season - with the strike factor no one really knows what a coach is going to do.
Just a suggestion for some of you, but for me, it works best if I follow one or two teams and try and figure them out, rather than bet all over the board. Since I'm a Hawks fan I tend to watch them closer than the rest, so that's where I'll make my buys.

Last week I took Seattle plus the three points and their team total Over.
Tavaris looked lost and the backups not much better. I was lucky to get the team total Over with two late TD's in Q4.
The books hung a 19' on this one; I'm tempted to take the 1st half Un, and if they gave me 10 I would, but it's at 9' so I'll play the full game team total Under 19', for, as with 99% of my plays, 1 unit.
Pete C is a true NCAA coach, an amateur, he'll try and run it up, even in preseason; w/out checking my stats I think the Hawks avg about 19 under him in preseason so the # is right on, but I'll ride Under.

Preseason now at 3-0 as I nailed that last sucker!
Could have bought either play noted above as Sea put up a zero in the first half,
didn't score at all until Q4; final score landed on 7, easy Under.
Not going to that same well (Seattle) this week.

A little trickier tonight but I think St L can get me over the 17' hump.
