Arrow New England at San Diego -3 - discuss

The Chargers in desperation mode. Patriots finally won road game two weeks ago in Miami.

SD around -3

Chargers play like a different team at home

Can SD blow them out or will it be close & more disappointment for Norv's crew?

Discuss

This game comes down to a key component for me, the Pats O line. IF they protect Brady like they did on Sunday, he picks away at this vulnerable secondary and eats clock along with opening up some space for Ben Green Blue Yellow Jarvis Ellis Smith. Who will get better with every outing imo.

I like the pts a lot here also due to New England showing some coaching attributes in winning the game on Sunday vs Balty with better adjustments as game went on. Take Bellichek and Tom off of a big win vs Norv anyday.

I like the OVER in this one. Would like a Pats win, but this is one of those games where the unthinkable usually happens (like San Diego beating New England - wouldn't surprise me).

I agree BTI, think OVER is in play as well with this one.

what is there to discuss. It's NE, they're great...vs. SD who just lost to the Raiders and Rams. No way they have a shot against Tom Brady and the Patriots. No way

very clever rjb

If it were only that simple!

Chargers 38, Patriots 10 - Is that about right?

I like the Chargers in this one

This is not a very good matchup for the Pats this week. Pats have huge issues still on the defensive side of the ball and in particular their secondary, and this week they are travelling to play a team who has one of the best passing games in the league and where they play like they know what the hell they are doing compared to how they have played on the road. This game in my mind feels like last year when the Pats went into NewOrleans and got torched, and I feel that is going to be the case once again this week with Rivers and the Chargers passing game marching up and down the field constantly. I believe the Pats will also find success on offense, but not nearly as much as what the Chargers will have and in the end the Chargers actually win this game quite comfortably.

SD wins going away. SD has been playing good ball just not mistake free. This is their perfect game.

San Diego is just...wow. I don't even know where to start. On the road they're ass, period. Special teams are killing these guys.

At home, it's a different story. BUT, they haven't had a real test at home yet. Arizona and Jacksonville don't count. In fact, looking at their schedule, I would've had them 4-2 or 5-1 at this point.

New England made a statement last week by proving they can win without Moss, and beating Baltimore is a statement on its own. San Diego needs to establish a running game this week. This Mathews kid is all hype so far, injury aside. Plus, the status of Malcolm Floyd will determine how much of a chance they have.

Without Floyd, you've got that rookie Davis, Patrick Crayton, and Naanee who's been invisible since week 2 I think? In any event, I don't like San Diego here for the obvious reason: they're imploding.

But a desperate team at home...I may end up taking the Bolts here.

Don't see why the oline would come into question as they have played great this year against defense's that at the very least would be playing better than SD's. Doing it without mankins to boot.... crazy, but NE always fields good olines.

That said NE still not that great.. their win against miami was not even close to as lopsided as it looked (Coming from someone that was big on the pats), and even though I haven't got a chance to watch the bmore game it was one they had several advantages in their favor going in... so to me that win is not as impressive as it is to most others.
