If the Falcons manage to capture one more home win then they will potentially have just one road game this season and that would be a trip to the Superbowl in Dallas. It has been more than a year since their last loss at home, when it was the Saints who took advantage of a injury-hit Atlanta team.
The surging Falcons are looking to clinch their first division title in six years and secure home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs on Monday night when they host the Saints, who are one win away from a post-season berth. The omens are good for the Falcons who are 6-0 at home and are the only unbeaten NFC team at home - but they are also useful on the road and on a roll having won eight consecutive games, the last three on the road.
So not only are the Falcons eager to return home, they're looking to exact some revenge from the last team to beat them there. But on that occasion two of their stars sat out the game - quarterback Matt Ryan missed the game with a toe injury - and their running game suffered with the loss of Michael Turner. Both of those big names play this time around.
Atlanta are considerably tougher to beat when Ryan is taking the snaps - the first choice QB has won 15 straight in Atlanta and is 19-1 all-time at the Georgia Dome. In six home games this season, Ryan has thrown for 1,545 yards with 12 touchdowns and three interceptions.
