New York Jets (4-3) at Buffalo Bills (5-2)

The Jets come into this game after beating the Chiefs 28-24 while the Bills lost to the Dolphins 25-16. This is a big AFC East match up, as the division is very close with both the Bills and Patriots at 5-2 and the Jets at 4-3. For the Jets to be successful in this game they have to stop Bills RB Marshawn Lynch. The Jets have the 12th ranked D in the league and they are especially good stopping the run. In last week's loss the Bills secondary was repeatedly torched and they will have to play better against Brett Farve. The Dolphins rank 20th on defense, but are especially weak in stopping the pass.

New England Patriots (5-2) at Indianapolis Colts (3-4)

The Patriots come into this game after beating the Rams 23 16 while the Colts lost to the Titans 31-21. This game was circled when the schedule came out being a possible preview of the AFC title game. The Colts have to start winning or they will not even make the playoffs. If they lose they will be 2 games under .500 and they are in the AFC South with the 7-0 Titans. Peyton Manning has not played well with only 8 TD and 7 INT. The Colts D has been a disappointment and they rank 15th in the league and simply cannot stop the run. Matt Cassel looks better every game for the Pats and they are currently in 1st place in the AFC East. Even though it is only halfway through the season this is a must win game for the Colts.

Dallas Cowboys (5-3) at New York Giants (6-1)

The Cowboys come into this huge NFC East match up after beating the Buccaneers 13-9 while the Giants beat the Steelers 21-14. The Cowboys halted their 2 game skid in last week's win, but now play the Giants who rank 3rd in both offense and defense. The Cowboys will go with backup QB Brad Johnson and the G-men will go after him early and often. For the Cowboys to have any chance of winning this game they will have to play stellar D, as their offense is limited with Johnson under center.

Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2) at Washington Redskins (6-2)

The Steelers come into this game after losing to the Giants 21-14 while the Redskins beat the Lions 25-16. This is a huge game featuring 2 of the best teams in the league at this point in the season. Last week the Steelers lost a tough game to the Giants because they could not protect QB Ben Roethlisberger, who is banged up and has a sore shoulder. The key match up in this game is RB Clinton Portis vs. the Steelers rush defense. Portis is the leading rusher in the NFL by a wide margin and he faces a rush defense that ranks 3rd in the NFL only allowing an average of 71.6 rushing yards per game. The Redskins rank 6th on defense and are especially strong at stopping the run. They will go after Roethlisberger all day and the Steelers offensive line has to protect him or it will be a long day for the Steelers in the Nation's Capital.
