At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline were available: Seattle Seahawks (2.30, +130) and San Diego Chargers (1.57, -175)
Seattle begins the second year of the Pete Carroll era in the Pacific northwest after finishing the 2010 regular season with a 7-9 record and a trip to the playoffs. The Seahawks captured a stunning Wild Card round victory over the New Orleans Saints as a 9.5-point home underdog before ultimately being eliminated by the Chicago Bears.
The Seahawks were 8-10 ATS last year when combining the regular season and playoffs, including a 2-6 ATS mark as a road underdog. During the 2010 preseason, Seattle finished with a 0-3-1 spread record, including a 20-18 home failure as a 3.5-point favorite over Tennessee to open the exhibition season last year.
It’s certainly a new look around camp this season, as long-time quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has landed in Tennessee and former Minnesota backup Tarvaris Jackson has been given a breathe of fresh air with a new franchise.
Jackson will have two new offensive weapons at his disposal, as the team signed wide receiver Sidney Rice and tight end Zach Miller. Not much is expected from the first string tonight as most of the unit has been together for just a week on the practice field.
