NFL Betting: Jags can keep it close against Atlanta

The Falcons are clinging on to one of those precious post-season spots, but they needed a spectacular comeback to seal their latest victory. They trailed 23-7 at half-time in Carolina, only to score 24 unanswered points to claim victory 31-23. Atlanta have been approaching their final games as playoff scenarios and ticking them off one-by-one, but the looming meeting with divisional rivals New Orleans looks vital to their hopes of making the post-season.

The Jaguars have had a turbulent season which culminated in the sacking of Coach Jack Del Rio and the team undergoing a change of ownership. After all that turmoil, the Jaguars were expected to provide easy pickings for their opposition but they showed far more resilience and fortitude, and they come into the Georgia Dome off the back of a 41-14 rout of Tampa Bay on Sunday that snapped a three-game losing streak.

thats what i come up with falcons let down game because of having to overcome such a huge deficit of more than two scores it was like playing two game last week not one !

LOSING bad - 16 then flip over to win by 8 thats a 24 point swing from negative to positive

also bad for the panthers who got run over shows weak defense but they are cathing a texans team that is happy as a pig in shit right now after securing div and are in a flat spot in schedule next tow games are both div games @ Indy home finale to titans thier closest rival on edge of playoffs wc spot

That jacksonville victory was a) at home and b) their 3rd home game in a row. Now they have to travel.

Atlanta game against carolina was their 2nd road game in a row and are now at home where they play much better. How much so? Last time they played the panthers (team they played last week) they spanked them 31-17 at home.
I mention this because atlanta is a team that looks weak on the road but strong at home.

My problem with this game is the points. Atlanta should get the SU win but 12.5 pts is a lot.

Jags D scored twice last week I don't see that here.
I see atlanta getting a comfortable lead, running with turner and jags backdoor covering.
But the overall play may be the under.
