Exclamation NFL Coaches who could be on the hot seat.

In the NFL all coaches are expected to win but I see more pressure on these NFL coaches (in no particular order)

John Fox - If Carolina misses the playoffs again how can Fox survive again? Especially with Bill Cowher lurking in the background.

Lane Kiffen - Reports that Davis wanted him to resign. They better start winning and competing or he will not survive another year.

Marvin Lewis - Another terrible year for the Bengals and Lewis won't survive.

Scott Linehan - Why is he a head coach exactly?

Mike Nolan
- Okay you have been rebuilding for years, time to win!

Wade Phillips - How many 13-3 coaches on the hot seat? You can bet Jerry won't wait with Garrett if Cowboys disappoint.

Mike Shanahan - I always have Shanahan on this list and he always survives. Why change anything?

Norv Turner - The Chargers are expected to make a serious run at the Super Bowl. If this team ever failed to make the playoffs (doubtful), Turner couldn't survive.

Lovie Smith - Good-bye Lovie (The Bears fans won't believe me)

Brad Childress - The Vikings are expected to improve, win the NL Central and have high expectations. If they bomb and miss the playoffs, Childress could get the axe.

Herm Edwards - Although the Chiefs are rebuilding they have a team that needs to show some progress. They paid a lot for Edwards and he needs to start giving them their monies worth.

Jon Gruden - Tampa needs to take a step forward and not backwards. Make the playoffs against or change could be coming.

Mike Holmgren - Obviously a lame duck coach and Holmgren isn't getting fired but with Mora Jr waiting, a dismal start could sent Holmgren packing early.

More than any other on that list is Marvin Lewis. IMO this will be his last year there,if he can finish it.

Cows go 8-8 and Shanny will still stay.

Way too many coaches on that list. Lovie, Childress and Holmgren are safe for one more year, if they want it. Edwards should have been gone a long time ago, but as long as Peterson is the GM, Edwards is safe. Turner won a playoff game with the Chargers last year and had a crippled team in New England. He is safe for two years or more. Shanny is in Denver for as long as he wants to be. Gruden led Tampa to an unexpected playoff spot last year, so he is safe.

I would add Crennel to that list. If Cleveland does not make a playoff game this year, he is porbably gone. As far as Kiffen goes, he cold go 8-8 and get fired. Who knows what that fool Al Davis will do. Managini had better watch his back also. Another terrible 4-12 year will probably cost him his job.
