NFL is cursed

I was doing incredible this past year betting smart, small and grinding out nice profits every week. It only took 2 weeks of NFL to severely crush me. Jeez...what a disaster. Oh, I'll be back tho and with a vengeance. But for now, I'm taking a time out.

GL to the rest of you guys and hopefully someone will read this and take it to heart. I learned my lesson this week. It was a real expensive one. Everyone just be careful and try not to bet like a jackass (like I did).

The books sweat everything else just to book NFL. They know which side of their bread is buttered. All books usually have higher limits on NFL than any other sport. Best to play it safe in the NFL. Books feel as though they have a big advantage when they open the limits up and let you bet alot more. Dont feel bad. Youll get back into it. BOL in the future.

My advice for you to learn more of bankroll management and go from there. Skill is what it take to win the game but Bankroll is what matter the most in sport investing. Remember you're invest in sports (try to find an edge and took advantage of it) not gamble in it.

Sammy J dont be disheartened bro.
it happens to any bettor, whether WISEGUY or SQUARE. last week i was up a few grand... this week i was up all week then i put all my winnings on Green Bay (frikin Green Bay) and lost it all.
My point is... this thing is like that sometimes...up and down.. its the nature of the beast. You gotta pick your battles tho and pull the trigger at the right time.
As always...Stay up.
hope you stick around

I absolutely agree with this. Just in the last few years I finally just set a budget of what I have to invest for the season and just use smaller percentages of that so I can stay in the game all season and not lose the house. GL man.

^this is exactly what I was doing up until maybe 1 month ago right around when NFL started. I was given all sorts of limits and betting way over my head. I stopped being meticulous and just started being stupid.

The sad thing is, my two friends lost as much as I did. We had a lot of money riding on GB last night to cut into our losses. The look in their eyes as we were losing made me feel real sad. And not to mention, of all the guys my bookie deals with, we were the only 3 that took the Packers. So much for trying to go against the public. What a joke!

i bet the same amount every game based on the bank roll %... and take half time lines for half my bet. boring...I feel playing the percentage for the year is my only hope... I never "try and cut my losses" on any given day or week.

Not thinking i'm going to win big money over the season, I just enjoy having money on the action and don't like making a deposit..

Playing on the same deposit from last year + pulling a nice amount off the table after the bowl games.

GL buddy

Another thing you need to remember is Never put up big $ on single game. SNF, MNF ect. Those primetime game really tough to beat. Those game not just depend on betting the whole game but 2nd half also very big which will affect the game very often.
As you can see alot of solid capper here bet 10* on they sat and sun game but you hardly see them bet 5 or 7* on single game.
