Talking NFL Future Bets - Pittsburgh Steelers - over or under 8.5

The AFC Championship and Super Odds seem way to low. No way Steelers win AFC this year. They will have to fight to make playoffs. Big Ben misses 4-6 games, 3 straight on the road when he comes back and 5 of 7 on the road is tough. They do have a chance to finish strong though. Leaning under but could seem them winning 9. What you say?

Pittsburgh Steelers regular season wins @ thegreek
549 Over 8½ reg season wins -130
550 Under 8½ reg season wins +110

Pittsburgh is + 225 to win AFC North
Pittsburgh is + 1185 to win AFC Championship
Pittsburgh is + 2250 to win Super Bowl

Atlanta
at Tennessee
at Tampa Bay
Baltimore
Cleveland
at Miami
at New Orleans
at Cincinnati
New England
Oakland
at Buffalo
at Baltimore
Cincinnati
NY Jets
Carolina
at Cleveland

Over.. knee jerk reaction to Ben.. defense had problems last year but still finished 5th in the NFL.. With Smith & Troy back plus the additiion of McFadden (Gay was the worst db in the NFL last year according to NFL stats) they will be nails again on defense.. Nice young core of old and young palyers.. Plus Gay said he slacked off after the SB win in the offseason and said that wont happen this year..went to the Tom Shaw conditionong camp oin the off season.. He will be nice on the nickle if he returns to his old form.. O-line should firm up with the addition of Pouncey.. Who impressed at OT's.. SB hangover is done..back to business.. 9-7... at worst IMO.. 10-6 0r 11-5..book it dano.. Ben will be missed but not as much in the short term as most think..jmo... Will be at SVC (camp)on the 31st to buy my annual SVC gear.. Spent 6 good years in college there.. SVC where the men are men and so are the women..

I am thinking OVER 8.5, but just barely.
The offensive line is going to be an issue regardless of who the QB is, and the running game will suffer as everyone is going to load the box the first four games leaving it up to Leftwich to win.
Polamalu is looking more and more like an injury-proned player due to his aggressive style of play.
I am thinking a 2-2 start is possible without Roethlisberger and an 8-8 or 9-7 season.
I would play the over but the number seems perfect.

PHILLYBIRDS...you sonofabitch
