Nfl houston texans -4

NFL

Houston Texans-4

Key Injuries

OT Marcus Gilbert (shoulder)

OT Willie Colon (triceps)

OT Jonathan Scott (ankle)

OG Jamon Merideth (undisclosed)

C Doug Legursky (shoulder)

Yes that is correct that is five offensive lineman hurt for the Steelers, who have looked a lot more like an aging grape left in the sun than a fine wine this season. Here is the skinny. . Houston has all the feel of a team ready for a big run, much like the New Orleans Saints a few years ago when their defense got just better enough to actually get a few stops and their arsenal of weapons on offense seemed endless. Houston returns home after a tough loss on the road against the Saints in a game they dominate for 3 1/2 quarters only to end up on the short end after surrendering 23 fourth quarter points to the Saints.

The Texans defense is much improved under new defensive coordinator Wade Phillipps and at the heart of it is the pass rush generated by Mario Williams and the revamped defensive line which will be salivating thinking about this beat down Pittsburgh offensive line.

The Steelers defense looks a year older and not a year better after losing the Super Bowl last season and it appears as though injuries and father time may have finally started to take it's toll in the Steel City. Big Play defensive players like Troy Polamalu, James Harrison, Ike Taylor and Bryant Mcfadden look like they have lost their explosiveness. The offensive line had trouble run blocking when they were healthy and now they are all hurt. The situation on the Pittsburgh offensive line is so bad that Gilbert had to finish the game Sunday Night with a seperated shoulder because Pittsburgh only dressed seven offensive lineman and had already lost two in the game.

I expect a huge home effort from the Texans and don't think that the make shift offensive line from the Steelers will allow for enough continuity for them to keep up with Houston on the scoreboard.

Well Good Luck everyone

Because of the ability to run and the Steelers fairly solid defense, I think this game goes under with the Texans winning by 5-7.

I like how everyone calls them old after hearing sapp's big mouth say it! I dont think age is the reason for there play right now, I do agree, that houston takes this game by a TD or more

BOL to you

I agree Odds Father, I like Houston to win this game. If they are to beat Pittsburgh, this is the time to do it when the are hurting on the O-line.

Foster is back which will help the red zone offense that killed the Texans last week. Look for a big win for the Texans.

Addai ran pretty well against the Steeler defense, I would imagine Foster can do the same

Seems like Pit didn't learn their lesson last year to have depth in their O-line. I don't see the Steelers putting many offensive points on the board, but I also don't see their D giving up many either.

Safe play under 45. (cause I can't go against my boys)

GL with Houston
