Lightbulb NFL Playoffs First Round Discussion, Opinions, Picks, Info, etc

Let's discuss the NFL playoffs. I will fill in the missing line when it's up.

NFL WILD CARD PLAYOFFS

1:30 PM 101 NEW ORLEANS 10.5, o45, -550
102 SEATTLE +10.5, u45, +425

Seattle in playoffs at 7-9. Will they prove a point? New Orleans are the defending champs and as good as anyone when they are on but they are not as good on the road. Line expected to be inflated. Discuss

5:00 PM 103 NY JETS +3-120 o44˝-110 -
104 INDIANAPOLIS -3EV u44˝-110 -

Colts eliminated Jets last year in AFC Championship. Line tells you books think Jets have a legit shot to win this game. Colts are shaky but when you have Peyton Manning anything can happen. Mark Sanchez is inconsistent but he plays well when the Jets run the ball. Jets should be able to run. Discuss

NFL - Jan 09

NFL WILD CARD PLAYOFFS

10:00 AM 105 BALTIMORE -2˝-110 o41-110 -
106 KANSAS CITY +2˝-110 u41-110

You get the feeling no one will give the Chiefs a shot. How much did the Charlie Weis decision hurt them this past week? Can Chiefs run on that Ravens defense. Baltimore defense not as good as past but you know they'll bring it. Discuss
-
1:30 PM 107 GREEN BAY +2˝-110 o46-110 -
108 PHILADELPHIA -2˝-110 u46-110 -

This line also shows me the books give the Packers a legit shot here. Green Bay is scary. How will Eagles respond in first home game? Will Vick look like Super Vick or the Vick who played against the Vikings? Discuss

Let's try to make this an informative thread. Welcome your input

Seattle is a 10.5 point dog. That is too many points. New Orleans played 6 games outdoors, 4 of which were played in the West or the South when the weather was nice and warm. Now they get to play in Seattle, where the weather will be dreary at best. The Saints have enough to win, but giving away 10.5 is way too much.

Here is a little interesting side note about this game. Every book in Vegas has opening lines for all of the other three playoff games. Not this one. The "M" and the Wynn, two books known to be amongst the first to post lines, have not posted any lines for this game as of yet. There are others also.

chiefs, jets are not long for this season...chiefs inexperienced, coming off a bad game probably lacking confidence. they will need to get some turnovers and special teams plays to pull this off

winning in arrowhead is tough but I think the ravens prevail in a tight game, mainly due to their running game picking up of late...

jets can win, but doubtful with the domes noise

best road team chance is green bay imo

Philly bounced in first round, have not won a game in which they scored less than 26pts meaning their going to need a shoot out to win, and going against the best def in the NFC doesnt bowed well for them.

PACKERS D will prove to be to tough for philly even at home

CHIEFS play their best ball at home and i can't go by the last game with the raiders either as i don't believe anyone wanted to play in that game anyway but had to,plus the raiders and chiefs is always a tough matchup

NEW ORLEANS or nothing, seattle is a really bad team and the saints knew it would take a miracle to with the division over atlanta anyway,so losing to go play one of the other garbage teams was not such a bad thing

INDY i believe prevails here as the jets have been so lucky this year and should not even be in the playoffs if teams just fininshed games against them this year, they should have lost at least 3 more games if not 4,their luck runs out against peyton manning again this season

Don't know if the Saints can cover the large number but they are not ending their season in Seattle......no way

Vick gives the Iggles a great chance obv but he is the ONLY reason I give Philly a chance.........they seem to be finishing this year as flat as they did last year......Packers have the speed and secondary to keep them in check and the Eagles d is not too scary.....if they blitz Rodgers the way they normally like to he could tear them apart

Jets are well rested and I look for them to create some turnovers mainly because I don't believe the Colts can't run the ball against the Jets.......Jets on the other hand WILL be able to run it and I think a healthy Sanchez has a good game

Baltimore didn't look at that great in the finale vs. the Bengals and you know Arrowhead is gonna be rocking this weekend.......If Cassell plays well they have a great chance as I think the crowd will help this defense keep the Chiefs close......Chiefs have big play potential on special teams as well......the line looks yummy but remember, if it seems to good to be true, it probably is
