NFL Top Play
Pittsburgh -8.5 vs Cincinnati
I am going to lay the wood with the Steelers this week. I’m not making this play because Cincy has lost 9 games in a row. I am playing on Cincy’s weak running game only averaging 3.7 ypc this season (T-27th) versus a Steeler defense that is allowing a league low 3.0 ypc. Breaking down Cincy’s last 3 games shows just how bad things have been for the Bengals. In the L/3, Cincy has averaged a league low 4.3 ypp on offense while allowing a league high 6.7 ypp. Pittsburgh has been just the opposite in their L/3 games allowing a league low 4.2 ypp, that is a 2.5 yards per play difference in the L/3 games!!!!! While on offense Pittsburgh ranks 12th at 5.4 ypp, that is a 1.1 ypp offensive difference L/3 games. Carson Palmer has struggled with his accuracy this season with a 19:15 ratio and it should be a long day playing at Heinz field with no running game to help him out. Pittsburgh by 14.
